What’s been happening:

I can describe what's been happening in my life after graduation with a two-word summary: JOB HUNT. It's pretty bad timing to be a college graduate in the midst of all the doom and gloom that's going on in the job market. Also, it doesn't help when a large portion of the field that you've chosen as your major is going through a slower, more gruesome demise than a starlet of a Friday The 13th film. Other than that, I'm just keeping my head up, moving forward, and earning some money here and there until I can find a steady job that I will genuinely enjoy. If this recession has taught me anything, it's to be more adaptive to difficult situations while simultaneously trying to maintain some optimism. I've also learned that people shouldn't be discouraged if they are unable get jobs that are related to their majors. In the end, the jobs that they do end up obtaining might be better than anything that involves their fields. Believe me, I know that things could be MUCH worse. I've met some hard-living, hard-working people who would do just about anything to be alongside everyone in this directory as Penn State graduates, rather than working in jobs that wear down their souls and age them considerably. So, despite all of the difficulty within my field, I'm still glad that I received an education.
